T3/r7/2021-07-02.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Morill Tech: no, according to the original anaylze that item is unused. T3/r7/2021-07-02.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}KnightLord Throxx Tech: and add 1 more point to the irongrip slot in the priority T3/r7/2021-07-02.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Morill Tech: yeah like i said sticking it in the vault fixed it T3/r7/2021-07-02.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Morill Tech: its just weird T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}KnightLord Throxx Tech: somehow, my mapper now thinks the entrance to Jotun is by the forge T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: I have a mushclient trigger set up for eqdata that puts the eqdata into a Lua table indexed by the equipment location. I then set a variable for the id of the item in the "second" slot. This works correctly and the variable ends up getting set if I am dual wielding. I then have an alias set up that takes out a portal and enters it. At the beginning of the portal alias, I run a 'Send("eqdata")' which seems to properly run the triggers, but at the end of the alias, I set a local second_id to GetVariable("eq_id_second"), my variable. When eq_id_second has a value BEFORE the alias is fired, it works properly, but if the variable does not exist, GetVariable is unable to get the variable, even though after the alias completes, the variable exists. It is as if the trigger isn't executed until after the alias completes, or if the alias is seeing a snapshot of the variables from the start of the execution. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here and how to correct it? T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: prob has something to do with how variables are saved in mush. They're not actually written to the file until a save is triggered by calling SaveState() or by manually saving world file T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: try calling SaveState() after you do SetVariable and see if it fixes it T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: ah, I'll give that a shot T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: alternatively, I was just thinking that I don't need this to be a client variable, and I could either directly read the array or use a Lua variable T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: yeah if you don't need it to be persisted between logins there's no reason to save it like that T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: savestate didn't do it, but I'll try a Lua variable T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tinypotato Tech: is your portal alias doing Send("eqdata") then immediately checking for GetVariable("eq_id_second")? it seems like the trigger wouldn't have triggered by then since it needs to wait for the mud output T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: that's a good point T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: what do people normally do for that, add in a while loop on an "I'm done" variable with a sleep? T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: really depends what you're trying to do T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: hard to say without knowing that. For eq data it has open and closing tag so you can do whatever thing you need to do after reading the {/eqdata} tag T3/r7/2021-07-03.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tinypotato Tech: you can do your code that checks GetVariable("eq_id_second") in your trigger that triggers on eqdata output instead, use DoAfterSpecial (which is sometimes flaky), use wait.regex to wait for {/eqdata}, etc T3/r7/2021-07-04.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: so, I accidently introduced an infinite loop which froze the client, and when I killed it and came back in, all my triggers/aliases/variables were gone :( T3/r7/2021-07-04.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Durel Tech: mush doesn't automatically save your triggers and aliases :( You need to manually hit save to do that. It's a crazy default behavior I'm afraid T3/r7/2021-07-04.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: yeah :/ I've had that happen to me as well. I made a super simple plugin that saves it when something changes: https://github.com/AardNaricain/autosave T3/r7/2021-07-04.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Cloverleaf Tech: yeah, I can recreate now that I've gone through it, but hey... now I'm almost certainly going to check out Durel's plugins :) T3/r7/2021-07-04.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Katsumoto Tech: Is there a way to count how many items of the same type that I have in my bag (e.g., potions)? T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: The problem is it may not work since I think the commlog specifically looks for color codes to translate. T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Qyx Tech: hmm I'll try and se what happens T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: you may be right, I use it in cmud, haven't tried it with aardmush T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sath Tech: I bet it will, there's some code that translate color codes, but it probably translates them to control characters internally T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sath Tech: or maybe not, I guess it probalby translates them to mush styles internally T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: easy to test, take a sequence from that article and construct a string and send it to the mud T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: you can use the keypad to generate the 0x27 T3/r7/2021-07-16.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Hellwing Tech: So I have "## You start" as the Trigger and 'ca 197' as the send, but when the ## You start to feel hungry happens, the trigger doesn't go off. I hope I explained that correctly T3/r7/2021-07-17.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Karathos Tech: help automap maybe? T3/r7/2021-07-17.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: i think that's for the main window one. you might try rebooting mush? T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: yes. if its a key, it is not savable. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Countula Tech: I don't think that is correct T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: there is the iskey flag i can use but keys are of a diff type and cant find the query syntax for those T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: hold a key in your inventory, try to quit - when the mud complains, theres your answer. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Countula Tech: some keys are saveable, but most are not T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: isnt 'key' an object type? T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Can't De Cide Tech: Yes but no_save is a flag T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sath Tech: there's a 'quit check' command T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: hmm. last i heard, that was a historical artifact of improper area design - perhaps i should say that objects of type 'key' are not savable. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Countula Tech: eg seal of the Wild Boar is a savable key T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sath Tech: it shows whether the nosave item is a key or not T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Can't De Cide Tech: also Can use Dinv search to search for this flag. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: some things that arent keys have the 'iskey' flag. the 'no_save' flag is also orthogonal to key-ness. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: seems like there is no key type - e.g. dinv search type key T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: odd. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: i can search on the iskey flag fine T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: but keys dont have the iskey flag xD T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: Keywords : indestructible onyx key T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: Type : Key T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: whether dinv can deal with that or not is a separate question :p T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: Flags : held, rot-death, V3 <---- ironical T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: yea maybe the v3 T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: nope lots of things with v3 on it T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: almost everything, in fact - aside from very old items. T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: gotta ask durel i guess T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: have a feeling its because it take an argument called key T3/r7/2021-07-18.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Golia Than Tech: so its almost a reserved work T3/r7/2021-07-19.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Still Tech: Where can I get the current version for S&D? T3/r7/2021-07-19.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Still Tech: thanks Crowley T3/r7/2021-07-19.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Plenty of great improvements, most recently because of Naricain's work on it. T3/r7/2021-07-19.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley smiles happily. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Hmm, LibreOffice help request. I'm trying to generate a report based on the number of procedures done, separated by doctor, date, and morning/afternoon. The procedures are EN/CO, EGD, EBrav, COLON, and FSig. All count for 1 procedure except for EN/CO, which is 2. LibreOffice does not have a UNIQUE function like Excel does, so I cannot just say, "=UNIQUE(A:A)" to have it pull unique days or unique doctors. So... what really are my options for getting this information? T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: LibreCalc, as it were. Surprised it does not have a UNIQUE function, though. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: maybe it has a different name? T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: It doesn't. Only way you can do unique is by using the menu, filtering for No Duplicates. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: you should write one and open a PR :P T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I want a unique function in my libre office T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: actually I'm stilling using OpenOffice.. am I safe from malware? :/ T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley chuckles politely. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Honestly, I'm surprised there isn't a UNIQUE function (yet). T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Side note, reason I'm doing this is to help determine if some doctors are overbooked with just a run of the spreadsheet. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: short answer to that is, yes :p T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: a worthy application of data T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley snickers with Boghadair Grimvald about their shared secret. T3/r7/2021-07-20.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: As a side note, the doctors here actually aren't too overbooked. We start at 7:30 am, and have done 20-28 procedures by 4 pm, all in time. T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: i havent died, and i had just done a refresh all, why is dinv not putting on a set, the priority is analyazed... worked fine yeterday T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Vondo Tech: dinv usually needs a particular voodoo chanting ritual to properly work T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: yeah, idk why it suddenly all wonky T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sheriff Shindo Tech: is it throwing errors or just not changing what you are wearing? T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: just not equiping anything T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sheriff Shindo Tech: so you're wearing no eq and it isn't doing anything? T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: eq searchs work, the eq is in the database T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: either way. i was using the 4 items to the secret room in Verdure, and use dinv to reequip afterwards, didnt do anything. als tired naked, didnt do anything T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sheriff Shindo Tech: so you did dinv set wear nameofyoursethere T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Triixxee Tech: yes T3/r7/2021-07-21.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Sheriff Shindo Tech: weird question... have you restarted aard after a session disconnected itself? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: nope not yet almost tho T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: nope T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: sorry man, personally i think the zeros aren't clutter T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: but i get it T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: well T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: here's a brute force idea for you T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: color all of the text white, then when conditional formatting shows up, it'll do the work for you T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Ooh, that's not a bad idea. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: I was just going to remote into my other laptop at home and open it up in Excel and just do the conditionals there with hope it'd translate over, but that might work. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Oh, but I /do/ want it to show numbers that are greater than 0. Heh. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: right, the conditional formatting can handle that, yes? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: if your example, all of the red cells would be true zeros, not "" and then you color them white to hide them T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: if the result is bigger than 0, your conditional formatting should pick it up T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: you might need/want 2 rules, 1 to simply color the text red, and maybe another to make the cell light red and text dark red T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: That was the problem from before, though. The two rules were not reliant upon each other. I had spaces colored with red text, but the second rule of > cell value ran in those same cells regardless of position (e.g. if it was first formula or second formula) T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: humor me this time tho, since you'll have zeros and not "" T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: rules don't need to overlap now T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: you can say if > 0 and <= $B29 T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: or whatever cell T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: thats 1 rule, then your other rule is the > B29 T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: I cannot do conditionals based on formulas, though. Or am I missing what you're saying? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: there isn't a 'between' option? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Ah, missed that. But then the issue becomes the limit on format options, meaning I can't customize it being 'white', so it's going to apply SOME format to the number, etc. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: i have another idea, i think there's something wrong with the conversion during comparison, so do this instead, subtract the cells, then compare if the result is positive or negative T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: hopefull this will force a correct conversion T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: excel doesn't "like" using results that are a blank string (i.e. "") T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: but he doesn't want to display zeros T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods at [Battle] Scars. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: so subtract "" - 15, then check if it is greater than 0 or not T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: In all honesty, if I could just 'black out' the blocks that are 0, that'd work too, but again, cannot do a custom fill. So ridiculous on the limit to what formats we can do. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: also print the value, to see what it sees T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: it'll be an error T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: you must convert the string into a value, but doing so displays the value T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: the displayed value is a zero T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: he doesn't want to see zeros T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: solving this in the excel app is trivial, but online requires a bit of wizardry T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: okay i got a few stacked rules to work for me crowley T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley chuckles politely. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: they are applied from bottom to top T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: so the very first rule you want to create is > 0 T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: then create your other rule T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: should work T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: make sure the formula is 0 not "" T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Hell, for whatever reason, I can't even seem to get a conditional formula to work in Excel. Been using LibreOffice too much. I fail to see why: ="AND(NOT(ISBLANK($B2)), $B$2>$B$29)" -- with range B2:B25 selected, will not work. Also, Scars, the next issue with what you're suggesting is that every cell > 0 will have a format applied to it, which is something else I do not want. I only want to glance at the chart, see what doctors are on which dates, and highlight only the ones that exceed their # procedures performed. That's why removing the 0s is pertinent; I don't want to scan a line and see 14 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 9, in the first line to figure out which doctors are on that day. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Ugh, it's lunch time. I'm gonna go grab the lunch and come back and bang my head. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Well, there, finally got SOMETHING to cooperate. :P T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Also, thank you, Scars, for your continued help in this matter! And to everyone else who offered advice! T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Finished product... works for me. https://i.vgy.me/bOhfVc.png T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Trachx Tech: Doctor? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Yes, the GI doctor associated with the Doctor code in row 1. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Trachx Tech: it seems you did some programming with excel T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Trachx Tech: using vba or python is probably better way T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Eh, just used some formulas and conditionals using the Excel app instead of the online version which is total trash. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Trachx Tech: on one hand if it works - it is good enough even if idea is ugly :P T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Trachx Tech: however if you plan to add more features to that - then using excel formulas does not seem to be right way T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Don't need it to be pretty, just functional and readable. Now I can read that and see that Doctor 8 works 4 days out of the next 3 weeks and none of those days are overbooked. :P T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Nah, won't need other formulas for it at all. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Kerith Tech: Mush: can you add a rightclick mouse item and associate it to things? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: to windows yes, to the mud window I don't think so T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: https://www.gammon.com.au/scripts/doc.php?function=WindowAddHotspot look at the bit about RH mouse T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Kerith Tech: tx, I wish my zmud still worked :p T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Kerith Tech: This is what I'm trying to do first long post, and I tried what nick posted on the next page (2) but meh - https://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=9096&reply=10#reply10 T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: what is syntax for pulling group member names from gmcp, group.members.name isn't working for me T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Group.members is an indexed table, so you'd do group.members[1].name, for instance. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: ohhhh ok that's why T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: thanks :) T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Sure thing. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: For payment, you can write this health care delivery system essay for me. :D T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Boghadair Grimvald smirks. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: sorry, but this: groupiename = gmcp("group.members[1].name") prints a blank when i do this: SendNoEcho ("tracker name: " .. groupiename) T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Torkin Tech: when i download something from google drive/docs into word, why would it change the font spacing. i.e., it has the font on a line in certain instances off horizontal center T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: likely cuz it's word T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Torkin Tech: hmm appears to really not like small caps T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: i don't know for sure, but word has always been rather arrogant in my experience T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: i love word and will die on this hill T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Boghadair Grimvald waves goodbye to [Battle] Scars. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: probably struggling to render the font because its not inherently compatible with word, i'd reserach google/word font conversions T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}[Battle] Scars Tech: a simple install of a font, if free, might do the trick for ya T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Hmm. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Yet, that's the format you'd need... you can see the format by doing: \\\require 'tprint' tprint(gmcp("group.members")) T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: I'm too tired to figure it out though. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: yeah that works, i see the info T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: no worries! T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Check out the group plugin to see what Fiendish uses to display the name and stuff. T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Boghadair Grimvald Tech: oh that's a good idea T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Faera Tech: GMCP question. I am reading 'help gmcpconfig' and when I type gmcp it says sorry you cannot do that. Does anyone know how to enable this protocol? T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Karathos Tech: reading the help file i think it means those config options can be changed via gmcp, not that there is an actual gmcp command, but I don't know much about gmcp *shrug T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}PenguinGod Galoth Tech: you can click the top left corner for config T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Karathos Tech: like the autoexit option, you can toggle via 'autoexit on|off' (help autoexit) T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Karathos Tech: or you can interact with it via gmcp. Turn on gmcp debug (gmcpdebug 1), then type 'sendgmcp config autoexit' T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Karathos Tech: and you'll see via gmcp debug something like 'config { "autoexit" : "YES" }' T3/r7/2021-07-27.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Faera Tech: thank you for your thoughts. now reading the related website linked in the help file and it has a bit more information there I will keep tinkering. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: has anyone made a plugin that tracks the commands sent to the mud that have not yet been processed and displays them in a window? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: ohhhh, that would be cool T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: maybe that's not really possible, i don't know T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: do all commands give feedback? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: well skills and spells do i think. That would be a good start. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: if so it should be easy to track, otherwise, i wonder if there's an internal queue in mushclient or something that already keeps track of this if you can access it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Thing is, you'd have to know the feedback for EVERY command sent. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: yeah but that's just tracking whether it is sent T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: I suppose you could utilize 'echocommands' though, so you can see when it is processed. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: is this for use in battle? because the mud stacks some commands.. so not sure what "processing" means in that scenario T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: well in battle would be the main use for it. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: ok, I figured.. so it's like a stack viewer T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: yes T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: would be useful for sure, don't know of anything like it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: yeah I figure if I start a fight and do something like c 'neural overload' a few times, it would be nice if a command stack could show me when the last one was cast. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: well battle is very noisy, i cant tell when what is starting or ending, i suppose thats the problem?as suggested by one friend here, i forgot, i added an echo after every spell or attack and highlighted it with a trigger to see when my spell truly ended T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: (or I imagine how many you have sitting there so you can decide if you want to keep hammering the alias key) T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: exactly T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: Zuqlan, in time I think most players start to know the battle round timing and get a sense of when your spell is ending T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Algaru Tech: that would be super useful - it would require some sort of client-side queuing that's aware of how long each action takes on the mud, seems tricky T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: or triggers that watch the spell success/failure messages. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: to me the battle log is very chaotic, idont know what is happening, to me a plugin to clean up the battle log is more tempting T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Algaru Tech: there are a few things that help with that - you can set your damage setting to be more compact, set spamreduce settings (hide dodges or group combat). those may help T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: well I think it's just a two phase process.. de-alias and track what command was sent (add it to the queue), then remove it from the other end when you get the resolved output T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: you'd have to have one for each command of course T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: (i.e. each spell/skill in this case) T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: how would u know if u got resolved output if hit is rolled multple times? which attack are those from? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: good point T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: might have to make a "smarter" trigger T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: not all that hard though I think T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: would be nice if the mud could have a protocol setting that wrapped skill/spell damage messages in a tag T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: could utilize amount of time expected between rounds as a closeout timer T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: or some other trick T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: they get sent in somewhat contiguous lines T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: not great for psionics though. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: but if you're a Navigator you might only get a blank line in between T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: anyway I was just hoping :) I don't intend to write one :P T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I mean if you just trigger on the first and pop it off the queue, and then start a "lockout timer" that doesn't remove anything else from the queue for some amount of time.. that might work T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Like I said, you can utilize 'echocommands' for that. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: not sure about lag and such though T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley shrugs helplessly. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Stacked or not, the echo for commands does not go through until it has been executed. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: interesting T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: yeah, so you could just look for that then T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: yep, easy peezy T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: just tested T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: I send c 'neural overload' when it echos, I remove it from the queue T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: So you could do: sweep;c neural;sweep;kick;dirt, put them all in a window, and remove the corresponding command when 'You entered: ' appears. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: exactly T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I thought echocommands was when the mud received your command, so you'd need to figure out that part T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: if you wanted to get really fancy you could make a plugin that remembers commands entered using OnPluginCommand (maybe it would onPluginEntered, not sure), and then clear them out when it sees them on `echocommands` to know which commands are enqueued T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods at Naricain. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: echocommands is definitely when the command is executed, not when it's enqueued T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: how does OnPluginEntered work? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: https://www.gammon.com.au/scripts/doc.php?general=plugin_callbacks T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: like tells you when a command was sent? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: this sounds easy then. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: It's OnPluginCommandEntered, by the way. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: or OnPluginSent T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: yeah OnPluginSent is what you'd want T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: interesting T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: if anyone is working on that plugin, i'm willing to help qa/debug that :D T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: didn't know about these hooks T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: did anyone ever play Star Wars: Galaxies? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: so these are like optional functions you can implement? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: yeah T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: very cool T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: the early days of that had the sort of command queue I am thinking of. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Naricain Tech: OnPluginInstall and OnPluginBroadcast are super common for many plugins to have T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I probably C/P one of these before without thinking about what was happening hah T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: By utilizing echocommands, by the way, you can effectively build a command interrupter. If you have a plugin that intercepts your command line and stores them in a table, then you can execute the next command in line after the echocommand is fired. This way, you can stack commands per usual, but say, for instance, you get hit really hard and need a quick heal, then you can do something like: !quaff heal --> to interrupt the command stack and put the heal in there. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: that's super cool/useful T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: or you can just quick cancel the entire queue T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods at Evine. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: what if there were buttons? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Doge Water Yajan throws back his head and cackles with insane glee! T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: typing probably faster for mudders, but ya know T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: I prefer command line since I can type faster than I can position a mouse over a button. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Doge Water Yajan nods. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: same T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: i'm surprise mushclient doesn't have a function to do that...quick canceling would have saved me quite a few times T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I utilize the old, disconnect/reconnect T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Evine Tech: haha T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: There kind of is, but it's difficult to set up. Nick has a command throttler. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Radric Tech: lmao T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: if I'm stacked up and get whacked T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: i think quaff potion should default to top of stack T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Let me see if I can find the link for it. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: https://github.com/nickgammon/plugins/blob/master/Command_Throttler.xml T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Zuqlan, many people feel the same way you do. Thing is, stacking commands is a danger you take. :p T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: how do you aardmush's layout? Everyday now my windows are everywhere T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I think it's typically saved on close in a mud state file? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: odd that it resets to something randomish T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: I thought it was. I've been using it for 8 years and this is the first time. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: sounds corrupty T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: any state file pros have an idea how to debug? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: probably loading wrong world file, or the cache got deleted T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: idk for sure, talking from experience T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: well, I have done nothing different if you don't count using a new laptop. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: or it's being stored in a location where you don't have write access T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: probably the cache then T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: if you drag dropped from a another machine, that could explain write access limitations T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: MUSHclient/worlds/plugins/state/ T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: copy over contents from this folder T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: I just took the folder from the old laptop and copied it to the new one. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: also copy your world file T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: was thinking I had some issues when I did it as you described, but can't remember what step finally fixed it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I know mapper was a mess (and still kind of is) T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: it could also be cranky if your path to world file or supporting files changed between systems T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: just copy paste the whole mushclient dir from old to new and see if it works T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: u need to move ur databases too T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I know install path default was different, if it uses a non-relative path to find state files, that could explain it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: c:\users\yajan\ vs c:\users\yajan2\ would get some conficts, although mush isn't particularly subtle about those conflicts T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: confLicts. i can type >.< T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: that could explain it, yes. I don't really know what you are referring to, though T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: perhaps a fresh install might solve the problem. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: honestly as soon as i made damn sure to have identical paths on both systems i play on, i've had zero problems copying the entire aard mush folder over T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: apart from the mapper map not showing up on this computer T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: wondering if reinstalling the aard_layout plugin would fix.. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: or something like that T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: been looking around for paths in plain text and haven't found much yet T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: appears that there's an "aard layout save" command in that plugin I mentioned, might try that and then close/re-open and see if that kicked it back to saving, if that doesn't work I'm guessing it's saving in one spot and reading from another or failing to save T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: any way to make the color just a *leetle bit* brighter? seriously hard to see on black background T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: You can change the colors through MUSHclient. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: any way to make the @b color just a *leetle bit* brighter? seriously hard to see on black background* T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: noice T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Go to Game -> Config -> ANSI colors and change the corresponding colors to something you prefer. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Warsnail Anaristos Tech: I think we all suffer from that T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: Heck, you could make the client parse the colour as a entirely different one T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: You could make @R appear dark green, for instance. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods at MidKnight Gladacus. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Ruckus Tech: madness T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: It's beautiful for colorblind people. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: like seriously struggle with Winds epic remembering the name of the portal you're given halfway through T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: i never thought about doing that haha T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: like "WHAT IZ THIS THING?" T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: can't even id it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: Though it might ruin some art if you go extreme...Items with colours chosen for effect and all that T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: honestly as the token Colorblind Person, i'm more concerned that i can read the text :) T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: form after function etc T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: the navy blue color is too dark, its borderline invisible T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: helmet T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: agreed, I borderline hate it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: whatever that said, i hate you. lol T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: ok found the colors, very cool, anyone have a suggested HEX alternative that doesn't complete lose the effect of a "less-bold-blue"? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: Yeah...that colour is wierd T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I like the color itself, just can't read it T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: MidKnight Gladacus blinks innocently. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: there's quite a few colorblind-friendly hex palettes on the googles, but most of them imply a white background T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: so good luck? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: aren't there like "color packs" like the sound pack Pwar created? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: like themes for my IDE? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: come on guys, we need to get on our game here T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: no idea, but figure one out and send it to gammon, he'd probably include it if you made a good argument :) and it wasn't too complicated to make work T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: To be fair, most colours are pretty decent as is, just grey and dark blue can appear a bit...dark T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Zuqlan Tech: ok fixed the color, just change the blues in ansi color T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I hit the lighter key 3 or 4 times T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: now if I squint I can read it lol T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: ok been experimenting with the colors a bit and this feels about right to my eyes: 5/12/170 for @b and 0/7/255 for @B, you can mess around with them a bit using "echo @bblue @BBlue@w" to test, I think the default for blue is 0/0/255, so I brightened it up slightly because for me depending on where it is, it can also be hard to see on a black background T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: those are RGB slider values if that wasn't clear T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: also...there's a return code for colours that looks better than just @w... T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: Think it's like $$c T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: also you can click that ANSI something button to return to defaults if you mess them up badly T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: Whoops, not double dollar sign T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: yeah, I use it for channels normally but it doesn't work with echo I believe T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: channels only T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}MidKnight Gladacus Tech: True as a echo has no default colour T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: also doesn't work with yell if you use that :P T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: yell isn't really a channel so shouldn't be surprised T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: we all know how much fun it is to yell something in Red text to scare people in your area right? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Doge Water Yajan whistles appreciatively. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Geslor Tech: anyone else jsut get lag that frooze up and disconnected em? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Ocho Ocho Ocho Tech: negative ghost rider T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Count Zensch Tech: can you transfer mapper from mudlet to mush? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: does someone have an Empyrean plugin that spams west until the guards throw me in jail, and then kills them and waits to use the cexit and then goes to the room I actually want to go to? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: could be called too_lazy_for_goal.xml or something like that T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: please check your plugins directory and get back to me, thanks! T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: it fit nicely in my manual runto - until i didnt need it, so now its gone. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: you did that goal? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: so much dedication, so much effort T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Doge Water Yajan Tech: I would say what that one guy says on that one show but it's in that one language and I have to use English on public channels or that one imm will bonk me T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Mannec Tech: eh. i was chasing a piece of gear. turns out, it wasnt as good as it might have been. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: Doge Water Yajan frowns. T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}AnN0yiNg Eadric Tech: how often should i refresh dinv? T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Super Bomb Link Tech: if you delete it and do it old school, you never need to :) T3/r7/2021-07-28.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: AnN0yiNg Eadric snickers softly. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Well, that's just silly. "Conditional formatting cannot be created, changed, or deleted in protected sheets." WHY? If I have unprotected cells to prevent me from scrolling too far over, why can I not have conditionals for those cells?! T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: If only spreadsheets allowed you to do, "Hey, I only want 500 rows and 15 columns!" instead of, "You get ALL THE COLUMNS AND ALL THE ROWS!" T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: format>row>hide? T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Anssett: See, that's the thing. I don't want to have to hide 1,048,076 rows just to access the 500 I want, and I don't want to have to hide 1,009 columns, either. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: That is a LOT of scrolling as it is. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Dark Goose Xaeris Tech: I mean, what are you doing that you need to hide the remainder? T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: oh. well that was stupid then haha. maybe you can do it with a dirty vba script T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Xaeris: It's really to prevent me from accidentally scrolling the next column over, thus shifting the entire sheet and then I have to move back 3 columns to reposition it. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: haha. "select the column you want to start at to hide, then ctrl+shift+right arrow" T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Dark Goose Xaeris Tech: Freeze rows/columns? T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Dark Goose Xaeris Tech: that's alternatively the other thing, control and arrow keys is amazing for moving to ends of data. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Well, I just went with hide the columns, at least. Just took about 30 seconds to select all unused columns. :p T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley peers intently at Anssett. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Only went from Q to AHM. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: oof haha T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: ... And Ctrl+shift+down arrow will do the rows. There we go... T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}WhatsApp KoopaTroopa Tech: if you have 897 columns... perhaps your data is better organized some other way? like a databse? T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: All excess rows hidden, all excess columns hidden. Now if only they could be permanently deleted, though. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Koopa: I only have 15 columns. It's patient data (doctor, date of service, time, patient name, mrn, procedure, booked, insurance, who booked it...) T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}WhatsApp KoopaTroopa Tech: because column ahm is column 897 T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Yeah. I was hiding all from Q to AHM or whatever the last column was. It claimed 1024 columns total, so maybe AMH. I don't know. It was 3 letters, though and stopped at some point. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}WhatsApp KoopaTroopa Tech: nod... yea that sucks, i gotcha T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: At least now I can't scroll past column P. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}PenguinGod Galoth Tech: this'll get you rows at least. just sort by column size afterwards and delete them T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}PenguinGod Galoth Tech: https://pastebin.com/pRbWEJp8 T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Now to call up a doctor's office and yell at them. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: The reset will display the map again in its former location. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}(Aleister) Crowley Tech: Er, default location. T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: nice, that ... well that sorta did it. forgot how much i chagned the layout haha T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Anssett Tech: ty :) T3/r7/2021-07-29.txt.gz:{chan ch=tech}Tech: (Aleister) Crowley nods.
